Captain would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time, ideally with a family and kids to share his love with.

ABOUT
This gorgeous soul has a calm, gentle temperament and is wonderful with children. He’s social with other dogs and loves being part of the action, but he’s just as content curling up beside you for a relaxed night in. Expect full-body tail wags whenever he sees you and jumps for joy when it’s time for a walk or car ride.

Captain has a big love for water. If there’s a pond, beach, or puddle nearby, he’s in! He loves to run & is easy to manage on a lead.

This guy just wants to be loved, and in return you’ll get an incredibly loyal, affectionate companion who is always overjoyed to see you.

TRAINING
Captain is a fast learner. Since coming into care he’s been crate trained, has learned his new name, can sit & shake, has learnt gate & front door manners & his recall is near perfect.

Captain is still adjusting to his new big & beautiful world has been a little tentative with socialisation- the exposure to new sights, sounds, places & things kind of socialisation. He needs someone willing to go slow & be patient with his exposure to busy environments. He’s well behaved wherever he goes but fast cars & loud sounds still make him nervous.
He will make a perfect cafe dog one day soon, but he needs to be slowly introduced to new environments that are loud & busy.

As with all working breed dogs, Captain will need lots of activities to keep his brain and body well exercised.

If you are willing to let Captain gain confidence in you as his new crew, he will be the most wonderful best friend.
