This beautiful 8-year-old Kelpie cross is looking for a loving home to spend his golden years—and he has so much love to give in return.

Don’t let his working-dog roots fool you—this sweet boy is low energy and happiest when he’s simply by your side. Whether you’re relaxing on the couch or moving about the house, he’ll be right there, quietly keeping you company. He absolutely loves being near his people.

He is incredibly friendly with other dogs and even adores cats, making him a perfect addition to a multi-pet home. He’s fully house trained, has excellent manners, and can comfortably be left alone for 6+ hours if needed—though he would much prefer a home where someone is around most days.

On walks, he’s a dream—great on the lead with reliable recall, making outings easy and enjoyable. He truly is a “very good boy” in every sense of the word.
He does have some arthritis in his back legs, which is managed with medication. Because of this, a home with minimal stairs would suit him best so he can stay comfortable and happy.

More than anything, this loyal companion is looking for someone who will love him as much as he loves them. He’s ready to give his whole heart to a family who will cherish him through his senior years.

Cooper is in foster care in Newcastle, NSW. He is available for adoption interstate. His adoption fee is $400. He is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and has been treated for worms and fleas.
