Meet Meli, a gentle, affectionate sweetheart with a heart full of love.

Meli is one of those special greyhounds who forms a deep bond with her people. She absolutely adores affection and is happiest when she’s close, whether that’s cuddled up on the lounge, at a café, or simply by your side at home. She’s incredibly gentle and loving, often giving soft little sniffs and nuzzles to show her affection.

She would thrive as a solo dog where she can soak up all the love and attention, though with time and the right introductions, she may be able to share her space in the future.

Meli is wonderfully easy to take out and about. She walks beautifully on lead and is confident in busy environments, taking traffic, noise, and city life in her stride, even along busy roads. She also loves car rides and will happily join you for any outing, settling quickly after a little look out the window and a head rub.

At home, Meli is very well mannered. She is fully toilet trained, can comfortably hold all day, and quickly mastered using a doggy door. She prefers the comfort of her own space and routine, often choosing to relax near the front door while waiting for her people to return. She may even suit apartment or unit living, especially if she has access to a balcony.

Meli is a clever girl who already knows cues like “come” and “up”, and she’s full of charming quirks. She’s mastered walking backwards, prefers a gentle routine, and relies a little more on her sense of smell, which just makes her all the more endearing.

She has met a wide range of dogs out and about and generally does well, though she can be selective at times, which is why a home as the only dog would suit her best.

Meli is continuing to build strength after having plates removed from an old hock injury, and she’s healing beautifully. She just needs a home that will support her with gentle exercise and ongoing care as she regains her muscle. She also has pannus, which is easily managed with daily eye drops.
