Heimdall has a big zest for life and an even bigger heart. Weighing in at a solid 25.5kg of muscle and enthusiasm, he’s the kind of dog who greets each day like it’s the best one yet. He’s also a water baby and much enjoys splashing around in a shell pool.

True to his breed, Heimdall is all about excitement—whether it’s walk time, play time, dinner time, or just… existing. He knows his basic commands and is very food motivated, which makes him a great candidate for continued training. With the right guidance and consistency, he has all the ingredients to become a wonderfully well-rounded companion.

Heimdall is a high-energy boy who will thrive in a home that can keep him mentally and physically engaged. He loves other dogs and would do best with a confident, larger canine friend who can match his enthusiastic play style. He doesn’t always realise his own strength and can be a bit full-on, so his ideal playmate will enjoy a bit of rough-and-tumble fun.

At home, Heimdall can be left alone, though like many clever and energetic dogs, he may find his own entertainment if he gets bored. Keeping him enriched with toys, exercise, and routine will help him stay on his best behaviour.

He does have a tendency to jump up and can be a bit mouthy when excited, so ongoing training will be important. Because of this, he’d be best suited to a home without small children.

While he’s not particularly interested in cats that he can see but not reach, he’s still a bit of an unknown in close quarters, so a cat-free home would be the safest option.

Despite all his energy, Heimdall has a soft side too. At the end of the day, he’s more than happy to curl up on the couch, preferably using his human as a pillow, soaking up all the affection he can get.

Heimdall is looking for an active home that will embrace his enthusiasm, continue his training, and give him plenty of love (and playtime). In return, you’ll get a loyal, affectionate companion who will keep life anything but boring.
