Scabbles is comfortable being handled and has a calm, friendly nature that makes him a delight to interact with.
He enjoys enrichment activities such as climbing, foraging, and having cosy places to rest. Like most rats, Scabbles thrives on social interaction and would do best with a compatible rat companion or in a home where he receives plenty of daily attention.
Scabbles would be well suited to an adopter who is keen to provide a stimulating enclosure, regular enrichment, and gentle handling. He could make a wonderful pet for someone new to rats or an experienced rat owner looking to add a sweet, outgoing boy to their family.

Adoption details
When you find an animal that you think you may want to meet, please send us an email through pet rescue and one of our staff will get back to you as soon as we can.
If you live in the Rockhampton area, we encourage you to meet with any animal that captures your heart.
However, if you live too far away we can arrange a phone call from one of our foster carers, who can provide you with the best information on our animals.
Once you have chosen to adopt (or the animal has chosen you) one of our adoption counselors will process the adoption and your new family member will be ready to take home.
