Meet Rosie – an adorable 1-year-old Miniature Dachshund!

Rosie is generally toilet trained and has been used to spending most of her day outside, where she understands to go to the toilet on the grass. As she transitions to being more of an indoor companion, she may need some additional guidance and consistency with toilet training while she adjusts to her new environment.

Rosie would thrive in a home where she receives plenty of time, attention, and enrichment. She’s best suited to someone who is home most of the time or able to provide regular stimulation and engagement to keep her happy and prevent boredom.

An active little dog, Rosie loves her daily walks and playtime. She does well with older children who can understand and respect her boundaries, and who are able to recognise when she needs a bit of quiet “me” time.

Currently an only dog, Rosie shows typical dachshund traits such as barking at passing dogs. If introduced to another dog, this would need to be done slowly and thoughtfully, with patience, commitment, and gradual training to ensure a positive outcome.

Rosie can be a little reactive on the lead when encountering other dogs, but she is still very young and, with consistent training and guidance, has all the potential to become a wonderfully well-mannered companion.

She is an incredibly affectionate and loyal dog who forms strong bonds with her people. Rosie loves cuddles and belly rubs, enjoys being chased around the yard, and happily plays tug-of-war with her favourite toy. At the end of the day, she’s happiest snuggled up on the couch, falling asleep on someone’s lap. As an added bonus, she is crate trained!

Rosie is a sweet girl with a big personality, looking for a loving home that will give her the time, patience, and care she deserves.
