Medical: Poppy has a Grade 2 heart murmur. She has seen a cardiologist and currently, there is no concern with her heart. If the murmur is still present at her 12 month vaccination, the recommendation is to have another Echocardiogram performed.

Meet Poppy 🐾

Poppy is a sweet yet shy little pup looking for a calm, understanding home where she can continue to build her confidence.

She is very nervous when meeting new people and will keep her distance, and most likely bark at you until she feels comfortable. A pocket full of really good treats does help.

Poppy gets along well with other dogs, though if overwhelmed she may be a bit nippy when first introduced— this settles once she realizes they won’t hurt her.
She spends her days playing with her foster friends, snoozing in the sun, chewing sticks and exploring the garden.

Poppy walks beautifully on the lead and loves going on adventures with her doggy friends. She is actually quite confident when out for a walk. She’s happily slept both inside in her crate and outside with other dogs since being in care.
Toilet training is a work in progress. She is not a fan of rain or wet grass, and she does still do a lot of nervous wee’s.

Poppy is best suited to a quiet home, so probably best without young children. She needs someone patient and committed to helping her build her confidence.
With the right person, Poppy has so much love to give and will grow into a loyal, loving companion.
