About Possum Moo
Possum Moo's story starts with his mum, a pregnant cat found living outdoors who took weeks to warm up enough to be caught. Once she was, it turned out she'd already had her litter, so she was released again so she could be trapped together with her kittens, which took a further couple of weeks of patient work. Through this process the kittens had some early handling, but were still quite feral by the time they came into care.
Possum Moo is a handsome ginger boy with lighter ginger highlights through his medium-length coat. He's bright, active and chatty, with a courageous streak that's helped him come out of his shell. He can take a little time to warm up to new people, but he wears his heart on his sleeve once he trusts you. He's affectionate, snuggly and eager-to-please, and there's no faster way into his heart than a bowl of food.
Possum Moo would do best with a patient human who understands he needs time and consistency to build trust. Once he has that, he'll reward you with cuddles and loyalty. He's great with other cats and loves to play, snuggle and make biscuits alongside feline company, so a home with another friendly, playful cat would suit him well and help him settle in with confidence. His compatibility with dogs and children is currently unknown, so a calm, quieter household would give him the best start.
Possum Moo has no known health or behavioural issues, though he's not a fan of vacuum cleaners and loud noises. His quirks are all part of his charm. He's incredibly food-driven and will happily chat away, loudly, while food is being prepped, and he loves nothing more than tearing around and playing with his siblings. His best features are being goofy, playful and an absolute food lover, and once he's bonded to you, he becomes the ultimate snuggler. He really is a marvellous, big-hearted boy who just needs the right person to unlock his full potential.
Possum Moo is a healthy raw/high quality fed kitten who has been wormed, flea treated, vaccinated, desexed and microchipped (microchip #953010007065958, source #RE101165). He is available for adoption. His adoption fee also includes his second vaccination at one of our rescue vets.
