About Bilby Moo
Bilby Moo’s story began with a cautious, clever mum who had been surviving outdoors, only allowing herself to be helped once she knew her kittens could be kept safe too. It took weeks of patience to bring the family into care, and while Bilby Moo had some early handling, she is still very much learning that humans can be trusted.
A striking little calico (white with tan and black patches), Bilby Moo is a nimble, agile domestic short hair with a playful spirit hiding behind her shy exterior. She’s fast, alert and mischievous, often zipping around with her siblings or entertaining herself with toys — especially fluffy balls and pipe cleaners, which she proudly chats to while she plays.
Bilby Moo is what many would lovingly call a “spicy” kitten — independent, cautious and not yet convinced that people are her thing. She loves to run, hide and observe from a safe distance, and her shyness can sometimes even override her interest in food. Sudden movements, strangers and loud noises like the vacuum cleaner are all a bit too much for her right now.
That said, she is slowly improving and just needs the right home to continue that progress. Bilby Moo will thrive with a patient, understanding adopter who is happy to let her move at her own pace and build trust over time. A quiet home with adults or older children (12+) would suit her best. She gets along well with other cats and would benefit from a confident, friendly feline companion to help show her the ropes.
While she may not be a cuddly kitten just yet, Bilby Moo has so much potential. Watching her grow in confidence and seeing those small moments of trust develop will be incredibly rewarding for the right person. She’s a little project cat with a playful heart, just waiting for someone to believe in her.
Bilby Moo is a healthy raw/high quality fed female kitten who has been wormed and flea treated. She is not yet desexed, vaccinated or microchipped, but these will be completed prior to adoption (microchip #953010007961860, source #RE101165). She is available for pre-adoption now!
