River

Meet River, a gentle and intelligent 9-month-old Collie x Heeler looking for a calm and understanding home.

River is a sweet, quiet little dog who takes her time getting to know new people. She is very shy at first, but with patience and kindness, her true personality shines through. Once she trusts you, River becomes a loving and affectionate companion who enjoys soft pats and gentle cuddles.

She would greatly benefit from living with a calm, confident dog who can help show her the ropes and build her confidence. River has been in foster care with cats and happily ignores them, making her a suitable companion in a multi-pet home (with the right introductions).

As a smart working breed mix, River will thrive with regular mental stimulation and daily walks to keep her happy and engaged. She is best suited to a quiet household with a single person or couple who can provide her with a peaceful environment. River would prefer a home without children, where she can feel safe and secure.
