About Billie (68128)
Billie is an exuberant and personable young girl looking for an active owner to welcome her as part of the family. She came to us as a surrender due to being acquired without realistic expectations of dog ownership. Billie is now looking for a confident and experienced handler who can continue building her positive manners both at home and out in the community.
Billie just required some guidance and training, she has made great progress and has been participating in social group sessions with positive results. Her new family will need to continue advocating for her, maintaining her lead skills, and reinforcing her training to help her succeed long term.
Billie would be best suited as the only pet in the home so the new owner can focus on all her training needs. While she does have experience living with children, her enthusiasm and excitability mean she is best suited to a home with kids over 6 years of age. Billie responds well to patient, calm, and consistent handling and will thrive with structure, exercise, and ongoing enrichment.
