Meet Ranger, a bright and energetic 7 month old Kelpie looking for his forever home!

Ranger is everything you’d expect from a young Kelpie. He is smart, active, and always ready for his next adventure.

PERFECT HOME
Like many Kelpies, Ranger would absolutely thrive in an environment where he has a “job” to do. A hobby farm or rural property would be a dream come true for him, giving him the space and purpose that truly fulfils his working dog instincts.

He is not suited to apartment living or a suburban backyard and will need room to move and stretch his legs.

Ranger will need an experienced working breed owner to really help him thrive. He’s a clever, driven young dog who will benefit from confident guidance, ongoing training, and clear structure. In the right hands, his intelligence and enthusiasm will truly shine through.

ABOUT
This handsome boy absolutely loves getting out on bush walks, where he can explore, sniff, and burn off some of that classic Kelpie energy. While he’ll occasionally dip his paws in the water and enjoys a swim now and then, he’s not quite a full-on water baby, but more of a “join in when it suits him” kind of guy.

Ranger would do best in a home that can keep up with his energy and continue his training. He’s a great candidate for someone who enjoys outdoor adventures and is willing to invest time in training him. Ranger needs an owner that is willing to commit to him.

**Working breeds need not only physical, but mental stimulation too. He needs more than just 'enrichment toys' and walks around the block.**

TRAINING
He’s currently thriving in foster care where he’s learning the ropes of being a well-mannered companion. Ranger is working on his recall and making great progress, showing just how eager he is to learn. Ranger is currently learning basic leash pressure, sit, doorway boundaries/manners and down. He is very food motivated, which makes training super fun!

With the right family, Ranger is going to grow into an incredibly loyal, fun-loving, and devoted companion. If you’re looking for a smart young dog to share your adventures with, maybe even a few paddocks to patrol, Ranger might just be your perfect match!
