About Gerald
Meet Gerald, a dapper ginger and white gentleman with a big personality and an even bigger heart. His journey hasn’t been the easiest; after being found outside, he was surrendered to the pound where his loud hisses and growls made quite the first impression. When Little Paws Kitten Rescue got the call, we knew he just needed a chance - and the moment we met him, we could see it. Beneath the impressive hissing (seriously, it could move hair) and dramatic growling were wide, worried eyes just waiting to feel safe. And once he realised he was, everything changed.
It has taken a bit of time and a lot of love but these days, Gerald is a gentle, affectionate boy who has discovered just how lovely pats can be. His favourite are long, slow strokes from the top of his head right down to the tip of his tail — the gentler the better. And in true ginger style, he now greets his foster carer by flopping dramatically onto his back, rolling around as if to say, “I’m right here… don’t forget the pats!”
He still keeps a touch of his streetwise charm. Gerald loves lounging up high in his cat tower, watching the world go by like the self-appointed neighbourhood supervisor. It is his favourite pastime, a comfy spot, a good view, and a little bit of curiosity about everything happening around him.
He’s also quite the conversationalist, chirping and chittering away to make sure you are paying attention (which, of course, you should be, I mean he is Gerald). And when it comes to food… well, he knows what he likes. He can be a little stubborn and currently prefers Whiskas above all else, but we are gently encouraging him to expand his menu.
Gerald is the perfect mix of character and cuddles, a boy who just needed time, patience, and love to show his true self. Now that he has, he’s ready to find a home that will adore him just as much as we do.
All Little Paws Kitten Rescue cats and kittens come to you vet checked, desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, flea treated, and litter trained. As we are a rescue group, the adoption fee is not negotiable. Little Paws Kitten Rescue cats and kittens are indoor or cat enclosure only and must go to homes that intend them to stay that way. This is for their safety, the health of the cat or kitten and for the environment. It is our foster carer’s choice as to which home a cat or kitten goes to. We match the cats and kittens to the adoptee; we do not necessarily “sell” to the first caller. As our foster carers are all volunteers raising the cats and kittens in their own home, we would appreciate you letting them know if you cannot make an appointment.
