About Zara
Hi, I am Zara. First things first: I love to play. Love. It. I play with all the other kittens, but my absolute favourites are the toys on a wand. If it has bells? Amazing. If it has feathers? Even better. If it has both? I lose all composure. The jingle calls to me. The feathers must be defeated. It’s very serious business.
I should also mention that I am part gymnast. Now... am I graceful? Debatable. Do I sometimes misjudge distances and perform what I like to call “creative landings”? Perhaps. But I will happily show off my skills (or lack of skills) for you at any opportunity, especially during playtime. My enthusiasm makes up for everything. I promise.
I am a huge fan of older cats. They are warm, wise, and excellent at grooming me properly. I make sure to schedule regular “spa appointments,” and I also use them as pillows when it’s nap time. The resident cat Harry is my favourite. I adore him. If Harry is sitting next to you on the couch, I will absolutely come and sit too. I feel very brave when he is there, and once I am settled beside him, you may pat me as much as you like.
I am also the best fly catcher in the entire house. You call them flies. I call them sky raisins. I can spot a sky raisin from anywhere. Ceiling? Window? Other room? I see it. I track it. I will protect this home from airborne snacks.
Another very important role I take seriously is litter scooping supervision. I must oversee the entire process. Quality control is essential. And naturally, I must be the very first one into the freshly cleaned litter tray. Not always to use it - sometimes I just like to sit in it and claim that I was first. It’s about making a statement.
I can be a little shy when I meet new people... unless there is a toy with a jingling bell involved. Then suddenly I am confident, athletic, and in mid-air.
So if you are looking for a playful, slightly clumsy gymnast, professional sky raisin hunter, dedicated litter supervisor, and devoted older-cat admirer… I’m your girl.
All Little Paws Kitten Rescue cats and kittens come to you vet checked, desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, flea treated, and litter trained. As we are a rescue group, the adoption fee is not negotiable. Little Paws Kitten Rescue cats and kittens are indoor or cat enclosure only and must go to homes that intend them to stay that way. This is for their safety, the health of the cat or kitten and for the environment. It is our foster carer’s choice as to which home a cat or kitten goes to. We match the cats and kittens to the adoptee; we do not necessarily “sell” to the first caller. As our foster carers are all volunteers raising the cats and kittens in their own home, we would appreciate you letting them know if you cannot make an appointment.
