About Anna
An eye-catching delight, Anna draws a crowd of admirers wherever she goes; and she definitely knows how to work it! She’s a gregarious and social girl who happily greets people and other dogs when out and about, but also understands others needs for personal space and will take her cue from the other dog on if they are interested in interacting. Although she is currently being fostered as an only dog, she has no problems with sharing her space or people and would likely enjoy a canine playmate in her forever home.
Although she does a good couch potato impression at home, Anna needs a minimum of two walks at around an hour each day - without this she can become a bit restless and unsettled. She is practically perfect on lead, no freezing or pulling, unbothered by noises, and very happy to see other people and dogs. She loves an adventure to new places and to see new things and would make an excellent adventure buddy as she travels well in the car.
Anna’s confidence and gentle temperament would be well suited to a family household, she has no issues with sleep startle or resource guarding and has had some lovely interactions with children when visiting the farmers market. However she can be a high energy zoomie girl in the backyard, so is best suited to children old enough to avoid being knocked over (or intimidated by her excited play style).
A bit of a foodie, Anna would prefer a home that doesn’t mind catering to her more refined palate. Kibble is fine for dogs, but this lady of luxury prefers a little flavour - a spoonful of yoghurt, a dash of bone broth, a little mix in of raw food, a sprinkle of dried treats. Mealtimes are way more fun with variety!
A stunning face and beautiful temperament to match, Anna will make a wonderful addition to a lucky home.

Thinking about adopting?
We’d love to help you find your greyhound match!
To get started, we’ll ask for a bit of information about your home and lifestyle on our application form. This helps us make sure we match you with a dog that suits your household and sets both of you up for success.
Many greyhounds come from racing kennels where they’re used to having other dogs around. Some can struggle being left completely alone, which can lead to signs of separation anxiety like barking or chewing.
Because of this, we usually look to rehome greyhounds into homes where they’ll have company - either human or canine - and not be left alone for more than four hours on a regular basis. If that’s not your setup right now, don’t worry as we’re happy to chat about options such as dog walkers, doggy daycare, or taking your greyhound to work.
Our Adoption Checklist:
To be considered for adoption, we ask that you have:
A secure, fully fenced yard (minimum height around hip height)
A home where the dog is allowed to sleep inside at night
A routine that doesn’t leave the dog home alone regularly for long periods (more than 4 hours) without people or another dog for company
If you’re not sure whether you tick every box, please still apply! We’re happy to have a conversation and see if we have a greyhound who might be the right fit.
Please fill in as much detail as you can as there’s no word limit on any question.
