Grain Wave

Grain Wave had a rough start to life. He and his sibling were removed from their nest as babies and left to fend for themselves, hungry and alone, in a neighbour’s backyard.

Despite this, Grain Wave still has so much love to give.

Grain Wave is a spunky little guy full of character. Whenever he sees you, he’ll do a cheerful “notice me!” coo. He has plenty of opinions and isn’t shy about sharing them (he would've loved Livejournal).

He enjoys perching on your shoulder, gently nibbling on your fingers, and being told he’s a pretty boy in a sing-song voice. Once he builds trust, he'll give you a little preen, because nothing builds your self-esteem quite like a pigeon telling you that you're a bit grubby. He's not a big fan of hands, but with time and patience he could learn to tolerate them.

Grain Wave would suit an indoor home with someone who is around a lot to listen to his endless thoughts on how geopolitical events impact seed pricing. Alternatively, he would also thrive in a predator-proof outdoor aviary with other pigeons, where he can socialise while still enjoying regular visits and interaction with his special person.
