Pedley is a once-in-a-lifetime kind of dog. Raised in care as a bottle baby, he’s got a huge heart, a cracking sense of humour, and he has the kind of love for his humans that you can feel in your chest. He has this way of looking at you like he can see straight into your soul. He doesn’t just exist in your world, he fills it. Every wobbly step, every kiss, every cheeky smile… he just gets you.
Pedley has a coordination condition that makes him wobbly on his feet and gives him a bobbly in the head, especially when he's happy to see you! It’s a stable medical condition and it isn’t expected to worsen, it’s simply part of who he is. He doesn’t let it slow him down, but as he grows into a very big boy, he’s going to need a home that understands him. (See Videos)
Gentle, consistent training and ongoing socialisation will be important, along with a calm, patient dog friend who can show him the ropes. Because of his size and his wobbliness, a home without young kids will be the safest fit, he's going to be a big uncoordinated teenager. He’s a soft soul who wouldn't hurt a fly, just in a wobbly chunky body.
He deserves someone who will love him within an inch of his life. Someone who sees how special he is and just gets him.
In return, you’ll get a dog who will be your heart and soul in a way that’s hard to explain until you’ve lived it.
Honestly, once you meet him, you might be the one who develops separation anxiety… because life is just so much better when Pedley is by your side.

Medical notes
Pedley has symptoms consistent with Cerebellar Hypoplasia, a condition that affects coordination and results in his signature wobble. The good news is that this condition is not progressive and is not expected to worsen over time.
He lives life completely unaware that he’s any different and gets around with confidence and joy. He is not on any medication, but will need a home that understands his wobbliness and can set him up safely as he grows. This includes a low-impact environment, ideally with minimal or no stairs, and supervision around heights to keep him safe.
