Meet Zig

Zig is a very special Dachshund x Wolfhound (we think!) boy with a heart just as big as his personality!

Zig is medium sized (15-20kg) and has the cutest wiry coat, giving him that adorable scruffy, rugged look that makes him even more unique. His coat adds so much character to his already very handsome face!

Zig gets along well with other dogs and would happily have a canine friend, but he would also be perfectly content as the only dog in his home. He can be a little shy when meeting new people and needs some time to come out of his shell, but once Zig trusts you, he really starts to show his beautiful personality.

Zig’s ideal home would be with someone who is home more often than not. His little world revolves around his people, and he absolutely thrives on having his humans around. He would love nothing more than to be included in everyday life, whether that’s relaxing beside you, following you around the house or enjoying some quality cuddle time.

Zig is also crate trained, making settling into his new home a little easier. He will also come with his own bed, collar and lead, so he has some familiar things to take with him on his journey to his new family.

Zig is looking for someone who understands that building a relationship takes time and is willing to let him settle in at his own pace. In return, you’ll have a loyal little shadow who will make you wonder how you ever lived without him.
