About Sassy Smokey Calls The Shots
This beautiful little lady is sweet, gentle, loving and just generally a bundle of joy. She absolutely adores people and loves nothing more than to chill out next to you and have a snooze at the end of a long day of doing cat things.
Smokey is a stunning cat with a soft, smoky and white-colored coat and striking green eyes that sparkle with curiosity. Naturally timid, she prefers calm, quiet spaces and takes her time trusting new people—but once she feels safe, her personality shines.
Smokey's previous owners found her wandering around as a kitten a their daughter fell in love with her so they decided to keep her. The daughter has since moved out of home and the family are moving home and unfortunately cannot take her with them so they reached out to us to find her a new home.
She comes from a loving household and has a lot of love to give.
Smokey can be quite shy at first and will take a few days to settle into her new environment but once she has a moment to find her confidence her beautiful personality will begin to shine through and you'll find yourself with a smoochy little lady on your hands.
It did not take long at all before her foster mum woke up one morning to find Smokey asleep at the foot of her bed.
Smokey can be incredibly loving, when she's in the mood, but like most cats she will be the one that decides when she's going to bless you with her affections.
She also has bursts of playful energy that make her endlessly entertaining. Her absolute favorite toy is the laser pointer and nothing excites her more than
chasing that tiny red dot with lightning-fast pounces and spins. Watching her in full “laser mode” shows just how spirited and agile she can be.
Beautiful, gentle, occasionally feisty, and delightfully playful, Smokey’s mix of shyness, sass, and sheer joy for her favorite games makes her a truly unforgettable companion.
Smokey is approximately 10 years old and has been desexed, microchipped and vaccinated and is available for adoption right meow, to the right home.

A little about us:
Urban Feline Australia is a newly established cat rescue service, run by one passionate individual with the help of friends and volunteers, that is dedicated to keeping cats out of kill shelters and helping them find loving forever homes. We specialize in helping "surrenders" which are cats that have lived with humans previously but for one reason or another their owners are unfortunately no longer able to look after them. We take your pets into our amazing cat sanctuary where they're treated with love and affection until the right forever home is found for them.
Urban Feline Australia is not a large company with government resources, a large facility and a lot of staff. Our tiny rescue is a one man operation run from the safety of our own home. We do this for the love of animals and our only agenda is to save as many cats as we can. We rely heavily on cooperation from friends, other rescues, our amazing foster carers and the kindness of strangers to survive. Every cent we receive from donations and adoption fees is used to keep our rescue running and cover the cost of food, water, litter, equipment and vet bills for the animals in our care.
We are doing as much as we can right now but our dream is to one day be able to purchase a larger property or facility that would allow us to be able to save the lives of many more cats in need. Perhaps even open a cat cafe so that we can spread our message to a wider audience.

Adoption details
We try to make things very easy and straight forward while at the same time making sure we are matching the right cat to the right home.
The first step in the adoption process is a quick chat over the phone to make you are able meet the cats needs and your home is a good fit for the cats personality.
From there we will organize a meet and greet the cats foster home where you will be able to see the cat in action and get a gauge of their personality.
Once you have adopted you new furry feline friend we offer ongoing support and you are welcome to contact us anytime if you have questions, concerns or need advice.
We work hard to make sure that each cat is a good fit for their new home but in the unlikely even that things do not work out we have a 21 day cooling off period and you are more than welcome to return the cat to us during that time.
We will happily refund 50% of the adoption fee or you are welcome to donate this refund to assist with the ongoing cost of the animals care.
