Hi, I’m Shogatsu, yes, like New Year’s Day. I made quite the entrance, if I do say so myself.

I was born when the world was busy celebrating fresh starts… and I guess I took that personally. I’m the only one from my litter who made it, which means I’m not just special — I’m extra special. A one-kitten fireworks show.

Nature
I’m confident, walk-into-a-room-like-I-own-it confident. I don’t wait for permission; I assume you were already hoping I’d show up. I’m sweet too, don’t worry. I’ll curl up with you, purr like a tiny engine, and make you feel like the most important human alive.

I love playing, everything is a toy. Your fingers? What’s that thing over there? Definitely a toy. I also love eating, or more specifically… yelling about eating. My belly doesn’t just rumble — it growls. Loud. Dramatic. You’d think I hadn’t eaten in years. I consider it a performance. You’re welcome.

So, if you’re looking for a kitten who’s equal parts survivor, superstar, and snack enthusiast… congratulations. You found me.

Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
I live with a baby and would be great with children due to my confident nature.

I love other kittens, so if you have another cat at home, that would be perfect for me. Otherwise, there are plenty of friends in my foster home, so you could take two of us!

I would be fine with cat-savvy dogs.

Likes / Dislikes
I love food. I belly growl when anyone else tries to eat it, it’s alllll mine!

I don’t really have any dislikes.

My PURR-fect home would be with a cat friend and humans to love and spoil me! I’d love an indoor-only home, or one with a cat run.
