Meet Fenrir – A Big Personality in a Little Body
Fenrir has a huge personality and an even bigger heart for his favourite people. Once he bonds with you, he becomes an incredibly affectionate little companion who loves being close to his humans. Whether it’s curling up on your lap, following you around the house, or burrowing into a cosy blanket, Fenrir is happiest when he’s near the people he trusts.
This little guy has a playful side too. Fenrir loves chasing a ball and playing with his toys. He’s also quite the foodie and will happily show interest in whatever you’re eating!
Fenrir can be a little wary when meeting new people, and he prefers to take his time getting to know someone before deciding they are part of his inner circle. Once you earn his trust though, he is a loyal and loving companion.
He can enjoy the company of other dogs once he feels comfortable with them and understands they are safe. Fenrir does have a bit of a “what’s mine is mine” attitude when it comes to toys—and sometimes even his favourite humans—so his new family will need to continue helping him learn that sharing and relaxing around others is safe.
Fenrir thrives on companionship and would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time. He isn’t a dog who enjoys being left alone for long periods.
Because Fenrir can be a little “cat-like” when telling you he’s had enough attention, he would be best suited to an adult-only or older person household that can read his signals and respect his space when he asks for it. The good news is that he is improving in communicating his feelings and continues to make progress.
As for cats, he can live with them if they are dog savvy and teach him they don't play with dogs. You will also need to be patient while he learns as he is noisy and pretty persistent. I do believe he would eventually learn to leave them be.
For the right person, Fenrir will be a deeply devoted companion who loves cuddles, playtime, and sharing a warm blanket at the end of the day.
