About Timmy - 4 Month Old Chihuahua
Introducing Timmy… he may be small but don’t let his little legs fool you, this young pup is full of life and has lots of love to give.
Mr Timmy is an excitable pup who knows his own mind. If he wants to play, it’s time to play, and everyone has to get on board. If he wants belly rubs, it’s time for belly rubs and he will lie in front of you until you give in. Timmy is the best of both worlds, he loves to play and be around people but equally he is ok napping in his pen (or on the sofa) throughout the day.
At just 4 months old Timmy has been through a lot and unfortunately hasn’t had a chance to see much of the world yet. Because of this, he can be quite nervous in unfamiliar situations and needs his family to be patient and willing to take time to help him build his confidence work on his socialisation.
Timmy’s training is coming along well. He sleeps through the night in a crate. He can sit and stay and nearly always comes to his name. He will need someone committed and dedicated to force free training so he can continue to grow into the best pup he can be. We always recommend puppy classes.
Timmy’s perfect home needs to have:
🐾 secure fencing
🐾 someone home most of the time
🐾 children 8yrs+ and able to respect his space
🐾 someone patient and committed to ongoing training and socialisation
🐾 someone who can give him lots of love and the attention he deserves
Because Timmy hasn’t had the chance to meet many dogs yet, he would require a meet and greet if going to a home with other pets.
Timmy's adoption fee is $900 which includes his desexing when he is old enough. It also includes his first two vaccinations. He has been treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped.
He is in foster care in Merewether, NSW. Since he is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. He'll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing by 6 months old.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:

(2) If the questionnaire is approved, we will arrange a property check so we
can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) Next, we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster
carer's home or at a nearby park.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay the adoption fee*, sign the NSW change of ownership form and our DRN Adoption Agreement and take your new family member home! The two week trial period begins on the day of adoption.
*We prefer payment by funds transfer and don't accept cash or personal
cheques.
