Louis is an adorable young Chihuahua boy.
Somewhere in Louis’ short life, something has happened that’s left him feeling like the world isn’t a very safe place. And while a bit of “Chihuahua sass” is to be expected, Louis takes it a step further — he prefers to keep the world at a distance until he knows he can trust it.
For this reason, Louis is looking for a very special home. He needs someone who understands that trust takes time, and that he’s not a dog who wants to be everyone’s friend. Louis will keep his circle small — but when you’re in it, he is incredibly loyal.
He will need an owner who is patient, respectful of his boundaries, and willing to let the relationship develop at his pace. In the right home, with the right guidance, Louis has so much to give.
Louis gets along well with calm, neutral dogs and would be quite happy living alongside a steady canine companion.
He also loves getting out for walks and really enjoys his training sessions — he’s a clever little guy who thrives when given direction and consistency.

Adoption Process
Once you have decided you would like to meet or apply for one of our pets, we email out our Adoption Application. We ask that the Adoption Process be read and if comfortable with how we adopt, complete the application and email it back for processing. This takes approximately 5-7 days. If approved the pet will come for a 6 week trial for cats and 3 week trial for dogs . We believe it takes that long for a pet to settle. If all goes well during the trial and you wish to finalise the adoption we email all vet certificates and change of microchip forms. We believe in matching the right pet with the right home so your application does not guarantee an approval.
