About Helia
Helia may start off with a cautious hiss, but it’s all part of her charm — underneath that brave front is a soft, affectionate teenage girl who’s just waiting to feel safe and loved. Once she trusts you, get ready for instant melt mode: she adores curling up on your chest or nuzzling against your head, purring her heart out to tell you how much she loves you.
She’s a master of the air biscuit and takes great pride in her kneading skills — especially when she’s cozy in her favourite pumpkin bed or snuggled into a quiet hidey hole. Helia thrives when given time and patience, and she’ll bloom into the most loving companion for someone who understands that trust is earned, not rushed.
She’d do best in a calm, child‑free home where gentle routines and loving hands help her feel secure. Helia enjoys a good play session with her foster brother Calypso but would also be perfectly content being the star of the show — as long as you promise there’ll be plenty of playtime and cuddles just for her.

Rocky Roads is run completely by volunteers - as such sometimes we do not have the capacity to reply to every single application that comes through.
We understand that this may not be the best experience but we are working hard to ensure the people who give up their valuable time and lives to support the animals in our care are able to look after themselves and their families too.
Without them, there is no Rocky Roads Rescue.

~The Adoption Process~
⦿ Adoption enquiry comes through
⦿ One of the RR team will reach out to discuss the adoption process with you - we are volunteers, please allow time for us to reach out to you!
⦿ Meet and greet is organised and completed - you head home! 💚
⦿ Family chats to decide if this adoption is right for you!
⦿ Adoption fee is paid
⦿ Contracts are signed and returned to RR
⦿ Pick up your new family member
⦿ 2 week trial period - during this time you can call and text any questions, concerns, celebrations etc to us!
⦿ At the end of the 2 week trial period we send you desex certificates, vaccination certificates and the microchip will be submitted for transfer into your name
Please note that at Rocky Roads Rescue, we believe every kitten deserves the joy of companionship. To support their well-being and happiness, we generally do not adopt out single kittens. We encourage you to explore the concept of ‘single kitten syndrome’ to understand why having a furry friend is so important. Your new family member will thrive best with a feline buddy or a cat-friendly dog to share playtime and cuddles. However, on occasion, if a cats’s personality shows they prefer to be on their own, we may consider adopting them solo—this will be clearly specified in their adoption profile.
