About Pip
Meet Pip đ
Pip is a sweet, petite Chihuahua mix with the most adorable long, pencil-like legs that give her a unique and delicate charm. She gives the best cuddles and, while she may take a minute to warm up, once sheâs sussed you out she becomes incredibly affectionate and loves being close to her people. Whether itâs curling up beside you on the couch or quietly following you from room to room, Pip is happiest when she feels safe and connected.
When sheâs not snuggled up, Pip shows off her playful side. She loves zooming around with her favourite toy or trying to convince you to join her in a game of tug-of-warâitâs hard to say no!
Her Ideal Home đĄ
Pip would truly thrive in a calm, quiet environment where she can build her confidence at her own pace. A home outside of the hustle and bustleâideally not in a busy inner-city settingâwould suit her best. She does best with predictability and routine, which helps her feel secure and settled. Pip is looking for a peaceful household with a gentle rhythm and humans who can be around most of the time. While she can be left alone for short periods, she much prefers company and reassurance.
Energy & Exercise âĄ
Pip is a medium-energy dog who enjoys backyard playtimeâzoomies, fetch, and tug-of-war are all favourites. While sheâs curious about walks, sheâs still learning to feel confident on the lead and will need a patient, understanding owner to guide her.
Family Suitability đšâđ©âđ§âđŠ
Pip would likely do best in an adult-only home, but she may be okay with older, dog-savvy children who understand her gentle and slightly shy nature.
Other Pets đŸ
Sheâs happy as the only dog, soaking up all the attention, but could also live with another small, very calm and gentle dog. Pip isnât suited to a home with cats.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
