Katinka

This is Katinka.
She was born in our care.
She has spent 146 days in rescue.
She has not had a single enquiry.

She has watched her siblings be adopted one by one.
She continues to watch other foster kittens be chosen over her.

Nobody wants her.
She is ugly and unworthy of love.
She is destined to spend her days in rescue, without a forever home.

We know her forever family is out there somewhere. And that good things take time. But it's hard to see her get passed over again and again and again.
We truly don't understand why nobody sees how beautiful and magical she is.

In rescue, we try not to have favourites, but Katinka has been our favourite since she was born. We knew there was something special about her as soon as we saw her. This is not lip service. We literally fell in love with this tiny little white kitten from day one.

And she fell in love with us.

As soon as she could toddle, she would climb out of her nursery crate and follow us around like a duckling. She always wanted to be with us. She ADORES people.

By the time her siblings were crawling, Katinka was climbing into our laps.
She was barely bigger than a mouse and she was already a lap cat.

If we weren't sitting down, she'd climb our pant legs and shirts so that she could sit on our shoulder and ride around with us.

We cannot describe how loving this little kitten is.

She is also incredibly playful.
She has a very strong mischievous streak, and she would be the purrfect companion for another kitten or a dog. (We prefer she not be an only pet because she will tire you out!)

Katinka loves to nibble fingers. Not hard, it doesn't hurt, but it's her go-to sign of affection. This is why we prefer she is not in a house with very young children, just in case.

We cannot describe just how wonderful this kitten is.
We never imagined that she would spend so long with us.
We thought she would get adopted as soon as she was available.
But no one wants her.
And we don't understand why.

We love having her in care, but she deserves a forever family.
