About Scout
Introducing Scout a lovely seven and a half year old female German Shepherd, who is looking for a new home as she and the Cavoodle in the house, aren't getting on together.
She is a slightly smaller dog weighing 29 kilos.
Scout is house trained and sleeps in a crate and also likes the comfort of a lounge. She is also had some basic obedience training.
Her ideal family will appreciate the wisdom and companionship that an older dog brings, and they're ready to provide a loving and stable environment where Scout can thrive. She has been around children over five years of age.
Scout has not been tested with cats or pocket pets.
Scout will require an experienced German Shepherd owner who will place structure in her life and maintain boundaries to help her develop confidence in her new environment with human interactions.
Scout is currently available for adoption in NSW, ACT, Queensland and Victoria. If you're interested in making her a cherished member of your family, you'll need to drive with your loved ones to meet her. Should she, for any reason, not be the perfect fit for your family, you would be responsible for either bringing her back to Sydney or helping us rehome her from your home.
If you have recently owned a German Shepherd or large breed dog, and understand German Shepherd and think you have the commitment to give her a new home, then please select the "Enquire about Scout" and we will send you an application form or go to our website and complete the application form.

We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
