About Phoebe
Phoebe is a desexed female Domestic Longhair available for adoption in Caulfield North (Melbourne, VIC).
Phoebe is a calm, deeply affectionate cat who lives for the quiet moments — a sunny spot on the couch, a warm lap, and the company of people she loves.
She is gentle, low-maintenance, and genuinely happy just to be near you. If you work from home, Phoebe will consider herself your most dedicated colleague.
This is a cat who asks for very little and gives back an enormous amount.
A little about Phoebe:
🐾 Calm, gentle and deeply affectionate
🐾 Loves cuddles, laps and couch company
🐾 Has lived comfortably alongside a dog
🐾 Takes a little time with new people — then fully commits
🐾 Best suited to a quiet, adult-only indoor home
Phoebe's day follows a beautifully simple rhythm. She'll find the sunniest spot in the house for a long stretch and a sleep, surface for dinner around 7pm, and then make her way to the couch for the evening — ideally pressed against whoever is sitting there.
She has a particular fondness for being nearby when people are working. If she's feeling especially affectionate, she'll nudge the back of a laptop screen just enough to close it. She's not sorry about it.
With people she knows well, Phoebe is warm and physically affectionate — rubbing her head against you, settling into your lap, and sleeping on the bed if she's given the invitation. Phoebe is at her happiest in calm, adult company.
With unfamiliar people, she takes a measured approach. She'll observe quietly from a distance and tends to warm up naturally, especially with people who give her space to come to them.
Phoebe has shared a home with a Labrador and navigated it with ease — they would often sleep in the same space without any tension. A home with a calm, cat-friendly dog would not be out of the question.
She will thrive in a quiet indoor home with adults who enjoy a cat that is present and affectionate. Phoebe is easy to care for and content in her own quiet way — she's most fulfilled simply being close to her people.
Imagine settling in for the evening, the house quiet, and Phoebe finding her place beside you on the couch without any fuss. That's her at her best — and it's a very easy thing to get used to.
If that sounds like your kind of evening, Phoebe is ready to make herself at home.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
