Gentle Paws, Big Feelings, Loyal Heart!
Wilbur is a super cute little soul with a tender heart and a gentle nature. He forms strong bonds with his people and feels safest when someone is close by, so he’ll need a home where his humans are around most of the time. With patience and reassurance, he blossoms into a loving, loyal companion who just wants to feel secure and included.
He has lived with another dog before and has tested well in the shelter, so he could happily be rehomed with another calm, younger small dog who can offer steady company without overwhelming him. Because he can be a bit anxious, Wilbur would do best in a home with older children who understand how to give him space when he needs it. He’s an inside dog through and through, preferring the comfort and predictability of home life.
Wilbur will thrive with someone who is prepared to gently continue his socialisation and training. He’s eager to learn but needs a patient, understanding person who can help him build confidence at his own pace. Car rides can make him a bit vocal, he tends to bark when he’s unsure, so ongoing reassurance and positive experiences will help him feel more settled over time.
What Wilbur wants most is a calm, loving household where he can feel safe and supported. With the right person by his side, he’ll reward that care with endless sweetness, quiet devotion, and the kind of companionship that makes every day feel a little warmer. Apply Now for the opportunity to meet the wonderful Wilbur. 💕
