Hello there! I’m Snoopy, and I’m officially accepting applications for my forever family.

My Ideal Home:
• I’ll need daily exercise — walks, park or beach trips, and playtime in the backyard will keep me happy and healthy.
• Ongoing training and guidance with basic manners will help me grow into a well-behaved companion.
• I want to be part of the family indoors — not left outside without interaction.
• As a social and playful pup, I may really enjoy attending doggy daycare.
• Secure fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent) is essential to keep me safe, I have springy legs and can jump fences below 6ft.
• I’d love plenty of toys and mental enrichment to keep my busy mind occupied.
• When I get excited, I can be a little bouncy and mouthy, so any children in the home would need to feel comfortable and confident around an energetic, enthusiastic dog joining the family.
• I absolutely LOVE water and would be thrilled to have my own clam pool to splash and relax in.
• I need a doggy companion to keep me company when my family isn’t home, or a household where someone is around most of the time. I can feel lonely and a little anxious when left alone, which may lead to barking or escaping behaviour.
• I have a high prey drive, so I’m not suited to homes with cats or small animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, or ducks.

My Paw-some Perks:
• I absolutely love other dogs! I’m energetic and playful, so I’d thrive with a dog who matches my enthusiasm.
• I’m a very playful, happy pup with the cutest little wiggle-butt when I’m excited.
• I’m highly food motivated, which makes training lots of fun and helps me learn quickly.
• I’m generally a well-mannered dog. I know my basic commands like sit, shake and stay, and I’m always eager to learn more.
• I walk nicely on lead for a young dog, and with daily walks I’ll only keep improving.
• I absolutely love attention, cuddles, hugs, kisses and head scratches, and I’m quite partial to snoozing on the couch with my humans.
• I’m exuberant and full of beans, always ready for fun and adventure.

Training & Support Needs:
• Once I’m settled, I can walk nicely, but I may pull if something grabs my attention or if I decide I’d like to head in a different direction. I can also be strong or a bit skittish if startled, so a harness or head halter would really help while I continue my training.
• My recall needs work, as I can sometimes ignore you if I’m distracted — this is something we’ll need to practice together.
• I’m not 100% housetrained yet, so I’ll need guidance and consistency to learn.

Please Note: You’ll only be able to meet Snoopy if your application is approved. Successful applicants will be invited to the shelter for a meet-and-greet, and any dogs currently in the home must attend as well
