Mekia is a gorgeous 11‑year‑old tabby with a heart full of love and a calm confidence that instantly puts you at ease. She's fully vaccinated, toilet trained, and up to date with all her parasite treatments-this lady is as fuss‑free as they come.
Mekia adores life's simple comforts. Her perfect day involves curling up on a sunny window sill, watching the world drift by, and enjoying a peaceful nap or two. She's gentle, affectionate, and has the poised presence of a cat who knows exactly who she is.

Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
