Asher is a very friendly boy who enjoys company, a good chat, and exploring once he feels confident in his surroundings. He also has a big love for food, which can be a great way to build trust and positive interactions.
He will need time to settle before being given access to the whole home, as large open spaces can feel overwhelming at first. Gradually expanding his territory and providing indoor enrichment-especially vertical spaces-will help build his confidence and keep him mentally stimulated.
Asher is sensitive to touch and can become overstimulated with too much patting, so it's important to let him lead interactions. Watch for his cues and be ready to switch to play or enrichment feeding when he's had enough. Play therapy will also give him a positive outlet for energy and help reduce any stress or frustration.
Asher would suit a home with teenagers who understand cat body language and can respect his boundaries while giving him the space he needs to thrive.
