Meet Poppy - a 4-year-old German Wirehaired Pointer with a heart as big as her wagging tail!

Poppy is a delightful, calm girl who's ready to find an active family to call her own. As a classic pointer, she'll thrive in a home that can keep up with her exercise needs and give her plenty of mental stimulation. Whether it's long walks, exploring the great outdoors, or fun games that get her brain working, Poppy is happiest when she's part of the action.

In return? Endless affection, loyal companionship, and a healthy dose of goofy fun. She's the kind of girl who will happily join you on adventures and then settle in for some well-earned cuddles.

Poppy isn't a big fan of being left alone, so her dream home would include humans who are around often to keep her company. A secure yard is a must, and if you happen to have a bit of land for her to frolic and stretch those pointer legs-well, that would be Poppy's version of paradise!

Poppy has a history of living with another dog but her dog social skills could do with a bit of brushing up as she is a tad boisterous for many dogs. Poppy would do well as the only dog of the family.

Right now Poppy is carrying a few extra love handles, but with the right balance of good food and regular exercise, she'll be back to her trim, athletic self in no time.

She would fit beautifully into a family home. While she hasn't been tested with cats, we think she could potentially live with one given slow, thoughtful introductions.
