About Barney
If you've ever thought, "I'd love a miniature panther with the personality of a chaotic teenager" - congratulations, Barney has been waiting for you his entire life.
At 5 years old, Barney is technically an adult... but emotionally? Spiritually? Behaviourally? Absolutely still a teenager.
He is full of life, full of confidence, and full of ideas, not all of them good ones, but all of them executed with commitment. Barney doesn't just exist in a home, he arrives in it. He will be involved in everything you do, whether you invited him or not, and he brings a level of energy that can only be described as "small panther on espresso."
Barney LOVES food. Not in a cute, polite way. In a "why is this not in my bowl yet, I have been waiting 0.3 seconds" kind of way. If meals are late, you will know about it. If snacks are delayed, you will absolutely hear about it. He can get a little.. hangry.. but honestly, same. Once fed, he returns to being your affectionate, entertaining, slightly unhinged housemate.
He is playful, cheeky, and will 100% take things too far sometimes, because of course he will. Barney doesn't believe in moderation. If a little bit of fun is good, then a LOT of fun (at your expense) is obviously better. He's the kind of cat who will make you laugh daily, test your patience occasionally, and keep your life infinitely more interesting.
Underneath all that chaos though, Barney is a social, engaging boy who thrives on interaction and stimulation. He will need a home that can keep up with him - think toys, enrichment, and people who appreciate a cat with a huge personality and aren't looking for a quiet couch potato.
Barney is also FIV positive, which honestly just means he's a little bit special. Cats with FIV can and do live long, happy lives, especially in indoor homes where they're kept safe and well cared for. It doesn't slow Barney down in the slightest - if anything, he's using it as an excuse to live life even louder.
Barney is not a background character.
He is the main event.
If you're ready for a bold, hilarious, slightly dramatic, food-obsessed little panther who will take over your house (and your heart), Barney is ready to move in immediately.
Snacks should be prepared in advance.
