Very affectionate. Loves cuddles, licking, sleeping whilst having physical contact with her owners.

Needs a moderate amount of exercise then likes to sleep most of the day (if owners home).

Is up for multiple walks / outings per day but one walk is usually adequate.

Loves the beach and swimming. Loves toys and playing fetch.

When her guard is up, will sometimes initially growl at other dogs and strangers, but will settle upon interaction. This behaviour has noticeable improved as her anxiety has reduced whilst settling in new foster home.

Friendly with children. Has never interacted with a cat but my feeling is she would probably be fine if introduced calmly.

Another dog friend would be wonderful for Slinky.

Appreciates company of another dog or her favourite humans.

Is toilet trained – will wait until she has a patch of grass to go. In current household with no dog door so we have been taking her out minimum twice a day to lawn to relieve herself + she has another opportunity during walk. This arrangement seems to work fine and have had nil accidents in house. Had a dog door at her previous home.

Highly food motivated. Can sit and performs good recall off lead. Has high ceiling for further training. Positive reinforcement very effective for slinky.

Slinky is a darling little girl who has her whole life ahead of her.
