Smudge

Smudge is a bright, energetic 4 month old kitten with a big personality and lots of love to give. Like many young cats, he is full of curiosity and enthusiasm, and he's always ready to explore, play, and get involved in whatever is going on around him.

Smudge was previously adopted but has been returned to the shelter as he became overwhelmed in the home environment and responded with biting and scratching during play and handling. This is not uncommon for high-energy kittens who are still learning appropriate ways to interact, especially when they become overstimulated or don't yet understand boundaries.

What Smudge needs most is guidance, structure, and an outlet for his energy. He will thrive in a home that can provide plenty of interactive play, enrichment, and routine. Wand toys, puzzle feeders, and regular play sessions will help him burn off energy in a positive way and reduce frustration.

Smudge would do best with experienced cat owners who understand kitten behaviour and are confident reading feline body language. He is not suited to a home with young children at this stage, as he is still learning gentle play. With consistency and patience, Smudge has great potential to grow into a well-adjusted and affectionate adult cat.
