About Taz - 8 Week Old Cattle Dog X Kelpie
š¾Meet Taz, the confident adventurer.š¾
This beautiful boy is the perfect blend of sweet, snuggly, and sassy.
Taz loves to run, explore, and wrestle his foster siblings before curling up with his people for some cuddles.
š Friendly & Fun:
Taz is a confident little man who loves everyone he meets. He can initially be a little shy, but donāt let that fool you. He loves to explore and wrestle with his foster siblings, knowing youāre not far away.
š” Smart & Eager to Learn:
Taz is excelling at his toilet training, flying head first through the doggy door! He is making good progress with his basic commands like sit, wait, and come. Being a mix of Cattle Dog and Kelpie, he is a clever boy needing mental stimulation.
ā½ļø Curious & Active:
Being a typical Cattle Dog cross Kelpie, Taz is a very active boy who loves to run. He enjoys lots of family time and will make a great adventure buddy. He needs a family committed to his ongoing training, enrichment, and including him as part of the family.
š Crate King & Cuddle Bug:
When heās finished zooming around and playing, Taz loves cuddling with his people and foster siblings or in his crate. Taz sleeps inside in his crate where he feels safe and warm, close to his people.
⨠Bursting with Personality:
There will never be a dull moment with Taz around. This sweet and sassy boy will make you laugh with his silliness, melt with his cuddles.
Taz will be the perfect addition to a family committed to his ongoing training, enrichment, adventures and mental stimulation.
Taz is a healthy little puppy who is being fostered in a loving home environment. He has been well socialised with other puppies and adult dogs (small and medium) and gets along well with them all, although can be a little reserved at first. He's met lots of people, including older children and is friendly and affectionate with them.
Taz will grow up to be a medium sized dog. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
It would be a big plus if you have a friendly and patient adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate for Taz. If you don't have another dog to keep him company, then there should be someone in the household that doesn't work full time.
Taz needs to be welcomed inside when people are home, and to sleep inside. He will be wonderful family dog and is suitable for children 8 years and older. You need good fencing with no small gaps. He can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
Tazās adoption fee is $800 which includes his desexing when he is old enough. It also includes his first two vaccinations. He has been treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped.
Taz is in foster care in Sawyers Gully, NSW. Since he is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. He will need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when he's 5 to 6 months old.
