About Jerald
Jerald is a gentle boy who is still learning what it means to live the indoor life. He came to the shelter from a farm where he lived outside alongside multiple other cats. Because of this, the busy shelter environment and close interactions with people can feel a little overwhelming for him right now.
Jerald is a shy cat who prefers to take his time getting to know new people and surroundings. When things feel unfamiliar, he may choose a quiet spot where he can watch the world from a safe distance. With patience, calm voices, and a peaceful environment, Jerald slowly begins to relax and show glimpses of the sweet and sensitive boy he truly is.
Having lived with many other cats on the farm, Jerald is very comfortable around feline companions. He may even gain confidence from having another calm, friendly cat in the home who can help show him that the indoor world isn't so scary after all.
Jerald would thrive in a quiet and understanding home with people who are happy to let him adjust at his own pace. He may not be the type of cat who rushes up for attention right away, but for the right family, helping Jerald build trust and confidence can be incredibly rewarding.
With time, patience, and kindness, Jerald has every chance to blossom into a loyal and loving companion. If you're someone who understands that the shy ones just need a little extra time and care, Jerald may be the perfect cat for you.
Jerald is part of our Rescue or Rehome program, where we are committed to finding homes for cats and kittens who simply cannot cope in the shelter environment. If you can open your heart and home to Jerald - or if you're a rescue group able to help - please reach out to us at adoptions@dogshome.com
