About Sophie
👑 Meet Sophie The Sass Queen 👑
🧡 Sophie, Sophie, Sophie… 🧡
This pretty kitty has more sass than most and she is absolutely fantastic.
Sophie was saved from the racecourse way out West while heavily pregnant. She was clearly once loved, and thankfully we were able to rescue her just in time so her babies could be born safely. All of her beautiful kittens have now found wonderful homes… and now it is Sophie’s turn to be spoiled.
She walks around with a little swagger like she is on a catwalk. She is super affectionate, talks to you when she is hungry and absolutely loves chicken breast (don’t you dare take it away). Chicken, chicken, and more chicken...:)
Sophie does not mind dogs or other cats. With other kitties she can happily coexist, but she is a bit of an independent lady and will let them know if they are in her way. She is hilarious. She is good girl and would be perfectly happy as the only queen of the house or living alongside other pets who respect her space.
Sophie is affectionate and will seek out a cuddle from you, funny and such a beautiful little lady. She truly deserves the very best home.
🏡 Sophie is now looking for her forever home. 🐾

Medical notes
We are currently trying to confirm if Sophie is FIV positive or not. She has has 2 snap tests in which one was negative and the other positive. We have sent off for bloods however we realised too soon as she was vaccinated on 05/01/2026 and it is best to wait 12 + weeks after her vaccinations as this can lead to a false positive.
We will retest Sophie in a few weeks time to figure out her status. She is healthy and happy which is the main thing.
Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) is a slow-acting virus that weakens a cat's immune system, primarily spread through deep bite wounds from fighting. While there is no cure, FIV+ cats can live long, happy, near-normal lives with indoor care and regular veterinary check-ups. It is not contagious to humans

Adoption details
Adopting with Kittie Kat Rescue Inc.
Bringing a new pet into your home is a long-term commitment—both emotionally and financially. Cats can live 15 to 20 years, so it's essential that all family members are prepared to provide love, shelter, and a safe environment for their lifetime. This includes premium nutrition, regular veterinary care, and ensuring they are kept indoors only or have access to a secure, cat-proof outdoor enclosure.
Our Adoption Process:
-Initial Contact & Questionnaire. We’ll start by sending you our adoption questionnaire via email or text message. This helps us understand your home environment and what you're looking for in a feline companion.
-Video Tour. We will require a video tour of your home, focusing on safety features such as secure screens on windows, doors and balconies. Plus, we’d love to see where your new kitty will be set up in their new home!
-Meet & Greet with the Foster Carer. Once your application is complete and approved, we’ll arrange a time for you to meet the cat with their foster carer.
-Adoption & Bringing Your Cat Home. In some cases, if your application is approved and the cat has completed all their vet work, they can go home with you straight after the meet and greet (an adoption fee is payable). Adoption paperwork will follow.
-Settling-In Period & Adoption Finalisation. Every adoption includes a two-week settling-in period from the time of adoption. If, for any reason, your new cat isn’t the right fit for your home, you can return them within this period for a 50% refund of the adoption fee.
-All of our cats come microchipped, desexed, with one or more vaccinations, and will be lifetime registered. Depending on their age, kittens may need their second (and potentially third) vaccination undertaken by the adopter after adoption. The transfer of ownership is completed as soon as possible.
Adoption fees:
-Kittens: $350
-Cats 1 - 3 Years: $275
-Cats 3 Years+: $200
All adoptions will also carry a lifetime registration/admin fee of $50 on top of the above adoption price.
