About Emerald
Emerald is a gentle little soul looking for a calm, patient home where she can blossom in her own time. She can be skittish when meeting new people and surroundings, so she’ll need gentle love, understanding, and someone willing to let her build trust at her own pace.
She absolutely adores other cats and would thrive in a home with a confident feline friend to help show her the ropes and bring out her confidence. Once she starts to feel safe, Emerald’s playful side shines — she loves chasing toys, exploring her surroundings, and quietly enjoying the world around her.
With patience, she slowly warms up, and every now and then she’ll surprise you with a soft cuddle, making those moments feel especially rewarding. Emerald is the kind of cat who will deeply bond with someone willing to give her the kindness and time she deserves 🐱✨

Rocky Roads is run completely by volunteers - as such sometimes we do not have the capacity to reply to every single application that comes through.
We understand that this may not be the best experience but we are working hard to ensure the people who give up their valuable time and lives to support the animals in our care are able to look after themselves and their families too.
Without them, there is no Rocky Roads Rescue.

~The Adoption Process~
⦿ Adoption enquiry comes through
⦿ One of the RR team will reach out to discuss the adoption process with you - we are volunteers, please allow time for us to reach out to you!
⦿ Meet and greet is organised and completed - you head home! 💚
⦿ Family chats to decide if this adoption is right for you!
⦿ Adoption fee is paid
⦿ Contracts are signed and returned to RR
⦿ Pick up your new family member
⦿ 2 week trial period - during this time you can call and text any questions, concerns, celebrations etc to us!
⦿ At the end of the 2 week trial period we send you desex certificates, vaccination certificates and the microchip will be submitted for transfer into your name
Please note that at Rocky Roads Rescue, we believe every kitten deserves the joy of companionship. To support their well-being and happiness, we generally do not adopt out single kittens. We encourage you to explore the concept of ‘single kitten syndrome’ to understand why having a furry friend is so important. Your new family member will thrive best with a feline buddy or a cat-friendly dog to share playtime and cuddles. However, on occasion, if a cats’s personality shows they prefer to be on their own, we may consider adopting them solo—this will be clearly specified in their adoption profile.
