About Lemon - 2 Year Old Dachshund X French Bulldog
🍋 Meet Lemon 🍋
Lemon is a 2-year-old Dachshund x French Bulldog with a big personality packed into a small, adorable body. Lemon embodies the quirky nature of a Frenchie and the loving, neediness of a Dachshund. This little lady loves being close to her people and is the perfect work from home colleague.
Lemon is a happy and affectionate girl who enjoys the company of humans. She enjoys cuddling on the couch, following you around the house, and soaking up all the attention she can get. Once she trusts you, she becomes a loyal little shadow.
Lemon gets on well with her chilled foster sister and would be happy being an only dog or living with a chilled out similar sized dog. She has loved the kids she has met on walks so kids over 5 in the family are ok. Lemon loves people, she has not met someone she doesn't like. She likes meeting everyone. She does react to some dogs on lead and others she is friendly towards so continued force free reactivity training will help makes walks more relaxed.
She is completely toilet trained with access to outside. She sleeps through the night, preferring to be close to her people (sharing a pillow if she’s allowed)
Lemon would thrive in a home where she can be part of the family and not left alone for long periods. She would love a home that enjoys cuddles, relaxed walks. She has been building up her endurance in foster care and getting fitter by the day. She does not react to cats on walks. We would not recommend a home with pocket pets.

She is in foster care in New Lambton, Newcastle, NSW, and is not available for interstate adoption. Her adoption fee is $800. She is vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, treated for worms, ticks and fleas.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:

(2) If the questionnaire is approved, we will arrange a property check so we
can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) Next, we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster
carer's home or at a nearby park.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay the adoption fee*, sign the NSW change of ownership form and our DRN Adoption Agreement and take your new family member home! The two week trial period begins on the day of adoption.
*We prefer payment by funds transfer and don't accept cash or personal
cheques.
