About Holly
Hi, I'm Holly.
I'm a young Rottweiler girl who just celebrated my very first birthday with the people looking after me. That means I'm still very much a puppy at heart, even if I look like a big, strong dog already. Everyone keeps telling me that Rottweilers like me are known for being loyal, clever, and very devoted to our people, and I think that sounds exactly right. I love being close to humans and knowing where my people are.
The humans here say I'm a super duper sweet girl, and honestly I think they might be right. My favourite thing in the world is a cuddle. I lean in gently, rest my head on you, and soak up all the affection. Even though I'm a big Rottie, I'm actually very delicate. If you throw something for me, I'll happily chase after it, but don't expect me to bring it back I'm more of a "run and admire it" kind of girl.
I'm also a little bit cheeky. Treats are funny. If you try to hand me one, I might politely refuse like a lady... but if you leave the bag where I can see it and look away for a second, well... I might help myself. What can I say? A girl has to keep life interesting.
The people caring for me say I have a beautiful nature. I'm very people-oriented, super gentle, and friendly. I like being part of whatever my humans are doing and I enjoy having company. Because Rottweilers are such loyal and devoted dogs, I really thrive when I have guidance, routine, and someone who wants to include me as part of the family.
I already know a lot of my basic training and I walk nicely on the lead most of the time. Being young, I still have a few little "kinks" we're working on. Sometimes passing vehicles are very exciting and I might lunge if I'm not reminded to stay focused. I'm learning though, and with the right guidance I'm getting better every day. Smart Rottweiler brains like mine really enjoy learning.
When it comes to other dogs, I'd really prefer to be the only dog in the home. Little dogs are definitely not my thing, and while I can stay calm around bigger dogs when we're nearby, I'm happiest not having to share my space with them. What I really want is a family of my own.
I would suit a home with dog-savvy primary school aged children who understand that even gentle big girls like me need calm, respectful interactions. I promise I'll bring the cuddles, the loyalty, and plenty of goofy young-dog moments.
I'm still at the very beginning of my life. With the right person to guide me, keep teaching me, and love me the way Rottweilers love their people, I have so much potential waiting to shine.
If you're looking for a devoted shadow, a cuddle expert, and a sweet young Rottie who just wants to belong, I might be your girl.
Love,
Holly
