Doug

Doug is a handsome 1-year-old Mastiff mix with a heart just as big as his paws. This gentle giant is a calm, sweet boy who is still finding his confidence in the big wide world. Right now, new things can feel a little bit scary for Doug, but with patient guidance, gentle reassurance, and lots of love, he's sure to blossom into a wonderfully confident companion.

Despite his impressive size, Doug is incredibly polite and mindful of his manners. He's not the type to bounce all over you - instead, he prefers to keep all four paws on the ground and show off his respectful nature. What a gentleman!

Doug would thrive in a calm and understanding home where he can continue to build his confidence at his own pace. A family with older children who can respect his boundaries would suit him perfectly. He may also enjoy having a friendly dog companion to show him the ropes and help him feel more at ease.

While Doug hasn't met any cats that we know of, with slow and thoughtful introductions he may be able to share his home with a feline friend too.
