Looking for a loving new home

It breaks our hearts to do this, but due to family illness and no longer having a suitable home environment, we need to find a wonderful new home for our beautiful boy.

He is a 5-year-old Whippet x Jack Russell with a fun, adventurous personality. He’s an active dog who loves getting out and exploring, going on walks, and sniffing absolutely everything along the way. If you enjoy outdoor adventures, he’ll happily be your sidekick.

While he loves activity, he’s also a big cuddle bug. One of his favourite things is climbing onto your lap and curling up for a cosy nap after a good walk.

He can be a little anxious and cautious when first meeting new people, so slow introductions help him feel safe. Once he settles, he is very friendly and enjoys meeting new people. He also enjoys playing with other dogs and has socialised well with them in the past. He hasn’t been tested with cats.

He has great recall and has previously done very well with training, so he would do best with someone who enjoys continuing to work with him and give him structure and activity.

For full transparency, when he feels overwhelmed, scared, or touched out, he may give a warning nip, so he would do best in a home that understands dog body language and can give him space when he needs it. Because of this, we would not recommend a home with small children.

He’s also not a big fan of car rides, so a home where travel is limited or where someone is willing to work on this with him would be ideal.

We’re hoping to find a patient, understanding, and loving home that can give him the exercise, attention, and stability he deserves. He truly is a special dog and will make a loyal and affectionate companion for the right person or family.
