About Echo
Is there an Echo in here? Why yes, actually - and he’s come to investigate just whatever it is that you are doing! Referred to by his foster carer as a “stage five clinger” this certified sweet boy absolutely loves the act of Being Involved. Moonlighting as a cupboard stopper, if there is any action in the household you can rest assured it will be closely snootervised. But don’t let that worry you, when it is time to settle down in front of the TV he’ll settle down for a rest - and while he loves the company of his humans, he doesn’t have any FOMO with being left behind at home for a few hours at a time.
With a backyard for his zoomies and playtime, Echo happily trots along on just one walk a day. Although he is a king couch potato at home, he does love his time exploring the world and thinks a sniffari is the best thing ever. While he will listen to guidance if he starts to pull on lead or needs to stop before crossing a road, his ideal walking partner won’t mind if he leads the way and is happy to pull up and let him really get a good whiff of the smells. You won’t get your heartrate up strolling with Echo, but you’ll have plenty of time to pause and smell the roses, as they say!
The epitome of calm and gentle, Echo would do best in a home that matches his pace, where there are quiet corners for naps and lazy sleep ins on offer. He is curious and confident when his musician foster carer practices, and doesn’t pay attention to traffic or other loud noises when out walking, but he can be avoidant with high energy dogs and even boisterous children - his placid nature gravitates more towards fellow relaxed and chilled vibe humans and hounds alike. It is clear that this beautiful boy is seeking a life in the slow lane.
Echo knows how to make his affections clear, if you kneel down and call him to you, he loves to plant his noggin’ into your chest for a hug. With a huffy sigh and the paw of more, he is sure to convince you that there’s no time as well spent as that of paying attention to the dog; and with his handsome face and expressive eyes, you’ll soon find there is nothing more rewarding than that.
A wonderful companion with a wonderful temperament, this gorgeous boy is sure to delight the lucky people who adopt him!

Thinking about adopting?
We’d love to help you find your greyhound match!
To get started, we’ll ask for a bit of information about your home and lifestyle on our application form. This helps us make sure we match you with a dog that suits your household and sets both of you up for success.
Many greyhounds come from racing kennels where they’re used to having other dogs around. Some can struggle being left completely alone, which can lead to signs of separation anxiety like barking or chewing.
Because of this, we usually look to rehome greyhounds into homes where they’ll have company - either human or canine - and not be left alone for more than four hours on a regular basis. If that’s not your setup right now, don’t worry as we’re happy to chat about options such as dog walkers, doggy daycare, or taking your greyhound to work.
Our Adoption Checklist:
To be considered for adoption, we ask that you have:
A secure, fully fenced yard (minimum height around hip height)
A home where the dog is allowed to sleep inside at night
A routine that doesn’t leave the dog home alone regularly for long periods (more than 4 hours) without people or another dog for company
If you’re not sure whether you tick every box, please still apply! We’re happy to have a conversation and see if we have a greyhound who might be the right fit.
Please fill in as much detail as you can as there’s no word limit on any question.
