About Betty
Hi, I’m Betty 🐾
I’m a happy, cuddly girl with a soft heart, a playful streak, and a whole lot of love to give. I’ll be turning five this year — I’m a Christmas baby 🎄 — and after spending my early years racing, I’m more than ready for the quieter life as someone’s beloved companion.
My favourite thing in the world is being with my humans. I’m affectionate, attentive, and happiest when I’m close to the people I love. I’ll happily lean into you, rest my head near you, curl up on the couch or bed, or simply keep you company while you go about your day.
I’m a comfort-loving girl at heart. I enjoy a gentle stroll, a good sniff, and then heading back home for a nap. I walk beautifully on lead and have lovely manners — I’m not one to pull or rush. I’m not looking for long hikes or fast-paced adventures; I prefer life at an easy, relaxed pace.
At home, I’m very happy to snooze, cuddle, and be part of the household. I go outside to toilet and then come back inside, where I can get cosy again. I’m not a fan of rain or cold weather, so I definitely appreciate a warm, comfy spot indoors.
I’ve lived with other dogs and don’t mind having a little romp around the yard with them, but I’ll never be a high-energy Kelpie type. I’m much more of a gentle companion than an athlete these days. I’m also fully crate trained and can settle nicely when needed.
Like many ex-racing greyhounds, I’ve had some trouble with corns on my paws. My feet have improved a lot in foster care, and with ongoing care and time, they should continue to get better.

I’m ready to leave my racing days behind and find a home where I can be part of the family — someone’s loyal shadow, couch companion, gentle walking buddy, and best friend.

Adoption details
All animals adopted from Goulburn Valley Pet Adoption & Rehoming come with a 1 month trial period. This trial period is to ensure your new family member has enough time to settle into their new environment, and you can both be sure it's the right fit. During this time, do not hesitate to get in contact with us if there are any issues, concerns or questions. If for whatever reason, you decide during the trial period that it's not the right fit, get in contact with us and we will take the animal back into our care, and your adoption fee will be refunded to you. Also, if at anytime during the course of your pets life, you are unable to care for them anymore, we will happily welcome them back.
