This sweet, social boy absolutely adores people and is looking for a family to share life with. He loves being included in indoor living, family activities, and plenty of social time, and truly shines when he's part of the action. Affection is his love language - he enjoys pats, leaning right into attention, soaking up lap time, and even handing out gentle kisses to his favourite humans.
He would be happiest in a home where someone is around more often than not. In his most recent foster home, he struggled with being left alone during the day and developed separation distress, vocalising when by himself. Because of this, he's not suited to a home where he'll be left alone for long periods. He's also not a good match for apartment, unit, or housing‑complex living, but may thrive in a quieter home with access to a small, secure yard where he can feel settled and safe.
While he's not overly interested in toys or play right now , this may change in a home environment. He's a social boy who enjoys interaction and attention but is also quite content to relax and do his own thing once he feels comfortable. He's open to the right family who can offer companionship, routine, and reassurance.
He's best suited as the only dog in the home, as he can become tense and reactive around other dogs. That said, with calm handling he has shown he can settle on walks alongside a calm, social female dog, eventually becoming more relaxed and less fixated. With the right environment, plenty of human company, and lots of love, this gorgeous boy will make a loyal, affectionate companion who just wants to be close to his people.
