About Nellie
Meet the beautiful miss Nellie! She is an 18 month old border collie girl who is ready to find her perfect match.
Nellie has some basic training such as sit, drop and shake. We are in progress of proofing these commands outside of home as well as working on recall training and leash manners. She is crate trained and sleeps through the night without a fuss. She is also happy to have some needed downtime in her crate throughout the day.
Nellie loves water in all its forms, whether it’s from her shell pool, the hose, river, lake or even sky, she’s in! She also loves to play a good game of ‘tug of war’ with her humans.
This lovely girl is great when meeting new people and absolutely adores kids. She will sometimes jump in the excitement of it all but has been improving with consistent boundaries. While she enjoys playing with dogs her size, she prefers having some space to herself so we are only considering solo dog homes for Nellie.
True to her breed, she is a very active girl. Nellie needs an experienced handler who can provide plenty of mental enrichment and physical exercise to help deter unwanted behaviours escalate from boredom. She is not suited to life in the busy city or suburbs and will thrive in a home with plenty of space to do all the things she loves.
Nellie will suit an active home with advanced working dog knowledge that can provide her the structure and ongoing training she needs. If you sound like you could be her perfect match, please reach out!

You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. We offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
