About Pelina
Meet Pelina 💛
Pelina is a beautiful 2‑year‑old tabby with a confident, affectionate nature and a heart full of love to give. She's the kind of cat who happily makes herself part of the household-whether that's soaking up pats, following her people around, or settling in close to be part of the action.
Pelina's calm confidence and gentle affection make her a wonderful match for a family home, including one with young children. She enjoys attention, handles daily life with ease, and brings a lovely balance of playfulness and cuddly companionship.
If you're looking for a friendly, people‑loving cat who will fit right in and quickly feel like part of the family, Pelina could be your perfect match. 🐾
To book a meet and greet with Pelina please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au .
Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
