About Norbert
Norbert is a 2-year-old Kelpie cross with a beautiful calm side and a big heart for his person. He has an impressive “chill button” and is just as happy relaxing in a sunny spot as he is spending time with his favourite human.
His name, Norbert, means “bright hero of the north,” and it suits him well — Norbert has a quiet confidence about him, that endears him to everyone.
Norbert forms strong one-on-one bonds and really thrives in a close relationship with his person. He absolutely loves praise and affection and isn’t overly food-driven — connection and approval mean far more to him than treats.
He walks beautifully on the lead and is learning to come when called, responding especially well to encouragement from someone he trusts.
Norbert likes to take his time when meeting new dogs, but once he’s comfortable he enjoys their company and can form great friendships, especially with calm introductions.
Norbert also has a bit of a cheeky side — he enjoys a good game of ball and will hide it when he thinks the game should end. When he’s not keeping watch over the yard, you’ll usually find him lounging in his favourite sunny spot.
Norbert would thrive in a home where someone enjoys building a strong bond with their dog and continuing to guide him as he grows in confidence and social skills.
If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a calm nature, a thoughtful personality, and a love of sunny afternoons with his person, Norbert might just be the perfect match.
Norbert is located in NSW.

We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa.
